You can make nice trips by car or motorbike in the Gorges du Verdon, the large Alpine passes or on the Cote d’Azur, play golf on the beautiful golf course of Chateau de Taulane or relax on the beach of the lake from Castillon.

Motorbike tours and car trips

We drive a motorcycle for many years and have “eaten” a lot of kilometers in Europe, with the flame in the pipe you can enjoy yourself here. Something for everyone, short and long tours, to the Mediterranean, the mountains including the highest peak in Europe, the lavender fields, Italy, everything is easy to reach from our Mas. The motor and car trips we have all worked out for you as a guest on A4 or in Garmin and Tom Tom, we will of course provide you free of charge.

Walking

Our environment is the place to take walks, there are many. The most famous walk we know here is the Sentier Martel which runs through the Gorges and is breathtaking. We have developed many walks that we gladly make available to you as a guest. Some of the best-known walks are:

Le Tour du Roc, Le Tour Sentier Martel, Le Tour Sentier des Sirenes, Le Tour Sentiet Imbut, Le Tour de Brandis, Le Tour du Lac de Castillon.

Golf

In the immediate vicinity there are two golf courses, Chateau Taulane and the golf club of Digne les Bains. The golf courses on the coast can be reached at about 1 to 1.5 hours. You can purchase a golf pass that is valid on multiple golf courses.

Aquatics

Castellane is located on the famous river Verdon, this river can be used for several sport activities including rafting, canoeing or kayaking, hydrospeed or canyoing.

Nearby, 3 km away, you will also find opportunities for swimming or pedal boats at the Lac de Castillon. You can laze and enjoy the beautiful color of the lake, on the terrace of Le Scirocco something, food and drink, A little further is the village of St. Julien du Verdon, here are possibilities for sailing or surfing.

Hang gliding

Because of the great thermals there are many international competitions in the field of hang gliding, parapente etc ..

Bicycles

For the sporty cyclist there are many routes, near and a little further away. Beloved is the Col de la Bonette (highest col in Europe), Col de la Cayolle and the Col d’Allos.

Horse riding

In the neighborhood are a number of riding schools where you can, under supervision, make wonderful trips through the woods on a horse.

Fish

The Verdon and the Var, 2 important rivers in our area are a paradise for the angler, the trout is one of the most important fish that one catches. In the lake of Castillon one can find a quiet spot and fish for the fish related to the sardine and in the meantime enjoy the peace and the great nature.

Mountaineering

For the daredevils among us there are easy and up to the highest degree climbs possible, of course under supervision but for the experienced climbers many opportunities to climb solo. La Palud du Verdon is the center for these activities.

Lac de Castillon (3 km) or the pool of Castellane is within walking distance of our house (900 m). Heated swimming pool, 3 pools, 2 diving boards. Possibility to rent mattresses. Aquagym and swimming lessons by qualified instructors.
